This experience will leave you awestruck. The Rock is situated on a small island rock located a short boat ride away from the shore. The food is delicious and fresh and yes, go for the Tiramisu (and don’t share it)!

Stone Town in Zanzibar

Stone Town

A truly wonderful local experience. The former capital of Zanzibar, Stone Town is a unique experience with mixed architectural influences dating back to the 19th century. The buildings are made of mostly coral stone giving it a distinctive reddish warm color. This seafront town has shops, local dining, coffee & tea shops among many other interesting offerings.

Yes, Zanzibar is a relatively safe place. It is recommended to always travel with a partner and to not visit places like Stone Town at dark. If you are concerned with safety, we have safety trip packages available.

It is worthwhile to visit Zanzibar anytime of the year. The climate is tropical with temps >80 year round. However the ocean breeze is sure to please.
