1. Zanzibar Le Mersenne

Le Mersenne Resort is a luxurious resort on the coastline of Zanzibar, Africa. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the area and friendly. Our time at the resort was full of accommodation and relaxation. We had the delight of staying in the Karibu Villa, with a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. The staff was tremendous, courteous and ready to serve us with any needs. You can choose an all inclusive resort package or if you love to dine locally, you can opt for breakfast only.

2. Spice Farm, Zanzibar

Zanzibar, like Tanzania, has great ability for farming. With temperatures steady year round and access to fresh water, farming is easily maintained. A tourist attraction but must see is a designated Spice Farm where you have the unique ability to touch, smell, and see a variety of native and transplanted plants. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. You get an opportunity to guess what the plant is and what is a common byproduct of the plant. Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemongrass, cardamom, and many more. You will also learn about why spice farms and tourism are important for Zanzibar. The tour ended with fruit tasting which will leave you satisfied.

3. Cheetah Rock, Zanzibar

Compassion, passion, drive, purpose, and love are just a few words that come to mind after visiting Cheetah Rock. This rescue animal sanctuary is a beautiful testament to people devoting their lives to a beautiful purpose. Jenny and her team rescue animals and send them back to the wild if they can return. The passion from each member of her team is evident and felt with every viewing. You get to interact Lemurs, Monkeys, Gazelles, while petting Tigers and Cheetahs. The powerful roar of the lion and his lioness can be felt through every fiber of your being as you get the story and plan for their lives. This experience is not to be missed.

4. The Rock Restaurant, Zanzibar

This unique and exquisite restaurant is available by reservations. As the powerful sun sets your view is unlike any other as you are on a small island rock in the Indian Ocean.
